How long will my system last? The panels we offer come with a 25 year warranty and our systems come with our Lighthouse Lifetime Workmanship Warranty. Most systems are manufactured to last anywhere from 25 to 30 years, but there are many solar energy systems that are much older and still in completely normal operation. Additionally, very little maintenance is required to maintain solar panels.

Is the investment worth the savings? For people who want an effective way to save on their energy utility bills, solar energy systems are really second-to-none. Depending on where you live and the solar panels installed on your home, business, or other property, you could see your energy bill reduced to nothing. Some people even receive energy credits for providing more power than they consume thanks to the high efficiency of our solar panel systems. According to statistics calculated by EnergySage, a partner of the U.S. Department of Energy, New York residents have saved an average of about $15,000 in energy costs since installing their panels 20 years ago. As time goes on, the savings tend to keep increasing, year over year. Is the initial investment worth the savings? In a word: absolutely.

Who do I call if I lose power? You would contact the same utility provider that you would normally call. Your inverter will pick up on the immediate loss of power and stop transferring power from your panels. After your utility provider restores power, your inverter will quickly begin transferring power from your panels again.

Our friendly Hudson Valley solar technicians are happy to come out and evaluate just how much energy you use so they can provide you with an estimated number of panels that your home would need.
